Werkse!

Explainer animations
Delft, Netherlands

For MCW, I worked on a series of explainer animations for "Werkse!", an organisation that helps job seekers—including refugees adapting to a new cultural and professional environment—navigate employment and integration programs. I was responsible for the art direction, concept art, storyboarding, and final illustrations.

One of the most interesting challenges was creating characters that could feel relatable to people from very different backgrounds. I deliberately avoided specific skin tones and national markers in clothing, creating a more universal visual language that allowed viewers to see themselves in the characters and connect with the stories.

What made this project especially meaningful to me was knowing that the animations were seen by thousands of people starting a new chapter in the Netherlands. I was happy to contribute to making the first steps toward employment and integration feel clearer, more welcoming, and less intimidating.
